Great country atmosphere! Especially good red Beans and Rice! My dad loves this restaurant.

Wow. Serene back porch that makes me feel like I'm at an old friend's back yard. Amazing food and friendly staff. Get the cold seafood pita, and thank me later.

Great little place, out of the way but popular nonetheless. Good dishes, many New Orleans-inspired. Outdoor bench seating really not recommend in the summer ;) good prices and friendly folks in a quiet venue right by Officer's Lake. Recommended!

This is the best little place in town by far! The prices arent too bad, and the food is absolutley outstanding! The Cam and red beans and rice is unbeatable. I highly suggest. The restaurant has a very nice homey feeling to it. The waitresses are very polite, attentive and never leave you waiting!

Lovely down home atmosphere and views of Officer's Lake. Most food is good, but the salad I had last time I was there (Seafood Salad) wasn't the best I've had. It was a plate of iceberg lettuce and large pieces of vegetables that was topped with cold boiled salad shrimp and imitation krab and served with a side of "kumbac" sauce (mayo and chili sauce mixed together). I was expecting more flavor than just what was in the kumbac sauce, but unfortunately I didn't get it with this dish. Plus, imitation krab is not crab, and if you're expecting real crab that's kind of disappointing. The salad was pretty, but that was about it. The kumbac sauce was definitely the best part.In short, if you're going to Proffitt's Porch, stick with grilled and fried items. Those are always delicious! The soups are good too, as are their desserts. I will be back -- just won't be ordering a salad again until they improve those a bit.

Great place to eat in Columbus. It really is a hidden jewel.

over priced bland food. tried several things on the menu on different occasions. wasn't impressed. BUT. the venue is dope. super cool like on a pond with a man made beach. bathroom is good. you get a good porch view.... so i guess its overpriced cuz the location and venue are cool. eh. who knows.

Had the red beans and rice, a specialty of theirs. The dish wasn't heated properly. Could have been much better.

Always good and great atmosphere!

The half sandwich fills most people, comes with plain chips and side pickle wedge. Good selection of sandwiches, red beans& rice or other dishes, great desserts. I prefer roast beef, comes with a light gravy, mayo, lettuce and tomato. BLT is on a bun and loaded with bacon. I've taken many guests here and always enjoyed it. A very large, nice area to eat outside on days when it is not too hot or eat inside in the AC. Family owned and operated. Visitors to Columbus should definitely try it.

Hospitality, great service, beautiful setting and tasty food

Family favorite. Best chef salad in our area(homemade ranch is the key and the slab of cheese toast is like a cherry on top). Never go wrong with seafood salad or seafood on French, the Cam, or gumbo . Since 1985!!!

Proffitt's is my go to sandwich shop in the Golden triangle area! Food has consistently been good throughout the years I've been there. It's a great family owned local place!

Great atmosphere. Great food. Service was a bit slower but it was very busy, usually its better. Love the view of the water and outdoor patio.

Found this place 16 years ago while living in Meridian, MS. Made a special trip from Birmingham just to eat here again. Was not disappointed! Forgot to take pics of the food, we were starved, but we had 2 smoked turkey sandwiches, a reuben, and red beans and rice. All were very good, just like it was 16 years ago! The folks here are really friendly and they are seating limited numbers of people inside and out. If you are any where close, please stop and try this place!

As always, food is delicious, and service great. We ate on the porch at noon, but the fans and breeze made it guite nice. Eagles were not home today. Beautiful lunch!

Been here several times since the mid 90's. Great sandwiches, gumbo and dessert. The cypress club and the BLT are my personal favorites. The chocolate chess pie is our favorite dessert.

It's great to be able to come out to Proffitt's and see the same menu I ate as teenager. Great sandwiches and service!

Easily the best atmosphere in Columbus, quite possibly Northeast Mississippi. The food is outstanding, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the prices are great for the food you get! Must try if you are in the area!

My wife has been wanting me to try this place, so it was a no-brainer when we happened to pass through Columbus recently. The food, service, and experience did not disappoint.

Always good food, even in crummy weather you can enjoy the covered porch. A “regular” crowd kind of place with great service. Recommend the seafood sub- it’s hot, and buttery and super filling!!
